This policy explains what happens to information when you visit spacetobreathe.events, book a ticket, or get in touch. It is written in plain English on purpose.

Who is responsible

Nina A Spencer runs Space to Breathe and this website. For information collected on this website, she is the data controller.

The session is held at Sherwood Observatory, Coxmoor Road, Sutton-in-Ashfield, Nottinghamshire NG17 5LF.

This website

spacetobreathe.events is an information site. It does not run advertising, analytics, or social-media tracking pixels. We do not build marketing profiles from your visit.

If you choose a light or dark theme, that preference is stored in your browser (local storage) so the site can remember it. It is not used to identify you.

The location page embeds a Google Map. Google may collect data under its own terms when that map loads. You can skip the map and use the address or what3words link instead.

Tickets, payments and mailing lists — Ticket Tailor

Tickets are sold only through Ticket Tailor. When you tap Book on this website, you leave for Ticket Tailor’s booking pages.

Mailing lists are all managed via Ticket Tailor. We do not keep a separate email list on this website. If you opt in to updates at checkout, join a waitlist, or otherwise subscribe through Ticket Tailor, Ticket Tailor stores that list and sends those emails. Ticket confirmation, event reminders and similar booking messages are also sent by Ticket Tailor as part of providing your ticket.

Payment card details are taken by Ticket Tailor and their payment providers, not by this website. We do not see or store your full card number.

Ticket Tailor has its own privacy policy. Please read it, because they decide how they handle the information you give them. You can unsubscribe from marketing emails using the link in those messages, or through Ticket Tailor’s own tools.

WhatsApp and other messages

If you contact Nina A Spencer by WhatsApp or another channel, we keep what we need to reply and to run the session you asked about. WhatsApp is provided by Meta and has its own privacy policy. Please do not send payment details by message — book only through Ticket Tailor.

What we use information for

• To tell you about the session and point you to the official Ticket Tailor checkout.
• To answer questions you send us.
• To run the event you booked, including knowing who is expected on the night.
• To send event emails and any mailing-list updates through Ticket Tailor, where you have opted in or where the message is part of your booking.

We do not sell your details. We do not buy mailing lists. We do not use your information for advertising networks.

Lawful bases

Depending on the situation, we rely on: taking steps to enter a contract with you (booking a ticket); legitimate interests in running a small, honest event and answering enquiries; and consent, where you opt in to Ticket Tailor mailing lists or similar optional updates. You can withdraw consent for marketing emails at any time.

How long we keep it

Messages you send us are kept only as long as needed to deal with them and any follow-up about that session. Ticket Tailor keeps booking and mailing-list records for the period set out in their policy. We do not keep a parallel copy of their mailing lists on this website.

Your rights

If UK data protection law applies to you, you may ask for access to your information, correction, deletion, restriction, or a copy in a portable form, and you may object to certain uses. For data held by Ticket Tailor, it is often fastest to use their tools or to mention that when you contact us, so we can point the request to the right place.

If this policy changes, we will update the date at the top of this page.
